Thanksgiving

Well we went to my sisters for Thanksgiving dinner. My niece Kristi's new boyfriend was supposed to come too. Well Supposedly he had a 'mandatory' yearly flag football game to go to with his buddies. Then instead of coming back with Kristi and eating and spending at least a few minutes, knowing my sister was anticipating his coming, oh no. He claims he has a buddy that's in the military and is only in town for a short time. My bet is he went to this buddy's to watch the game. Whether or not this buddy of his is really in the military or not isn't the point. He could have come over spent half an hour or so eating and watching the rest the movie we were watching. Kristi got in about oh 1:30-2. Then we left soon after the movie ended about 3pm so if he come over and left when we did he'd have still had MORE than enough time to spend with this alleged army buddy. I have a feeling this relationship won't last. I mean it's your first Thanksgiving together as a couple and he prefers to play flag football with his buddies and then refuses to come over and spend even a little time with your family knowing he was expected for Thanksgiving on the grounds his buddies in the army and he wants to see him. So I seriously doubt this relationship will last very long.

The movie we watched though Kimberly's 15 went ahead and watched a movie called 'The Ugly Truth' that was rated R. Though beyond language and a few other things minor things it could have been PG-13.

Huge Sale

One of The local recreation centers offered the chance to buy a spot indoors or outdoors for a HUGE garage sale. It was $10 outside and $20 inside. Well not knowing what the weather would be like we chose inside. We felt it a good thing since it rained the night before and there was mud EVERYWHERE! One person whose stand was outside you could see their shoes encased in mud! We bought an extra table and so basically we payed $25 to get in. We thought wow with all the people that will come we'll make a killing! We won't have to drag everything back! Yeah they offered to take what you don't want to a local mission but decided against it in hopes of having our own yard sale come day after thanksgiving. But hoping we wouldn't have much left over.

Well The day started out slow and never picked up! In a guess as to how much we made in total I'd guess maybe $15 give or take. One woman said 'Oh well when we slashed our prices to half off people swarmed us!' I'm like we're already at most of the things at 25-75 cents each. Not counting a few other things that ranged from $1-5. It's like you can't get much lower, without giving it away!

I had this really cut pencil it had a musical note in top. I thought well maybe someone will like it and buy it. Instead some little bratty boy comes along 'Oh wow I bet this is plastic let's see if we can tear it apart!' Well it wasn't plastic and he BROKE IT! Though he owned up to it and bought it, well he had to get mom to give him the money as he only had a nickle and I charged him 25 cents. But that's not the point.

Then this one guy I swear he's the definition of a redneck wore out shirt that had a hole or two and paint on his jeans. He kept digging in the shonen jump magazines I guess thinking 'Oh come on that's all that's here! No girly magazines! No porno no nothing! This bites!' You could tell the way he was digging and slung the magazines back down in the box that's what he was thinking. It's like sorry dude don't have or own any and even if we did, we wouldn't have brought them to sell! I could be wrong I mean he never said anything or gave any indication as to what he was looking for but you tell me what else you think he could be looking for? We had like birds and bloom magazines on a separate table.

One Spanish guy I think he bought a vase or something, he was real nice, I guess he was testing out limited spanish by saying 'Mucho gracias' It's like we'll don't know a lot of Spanish but we do know that much!

We had lots of nice people few nice enough to buy but that's not the point. One was a little girl who bought a small teddy bear and seemed tickled pink to get it!

Then some witch I'm not sure of the nationality (Koren maybe not sure) but she was a major witch! We had a bunch of little bottle like vases that you'd put one or two small flowers in. We had maybe $5 worth. Note they were 25 cents each so you do the math. Then she wanted a bunch of other things as well and was all $3.00. Meaning she wanted all the bottles plus 3-4 other things all for $4.00. I thing she had us confused with this woman outside that said all clothes you can fit into a bag for $2.00. Then mom said she could have this small basket for 25 cents. She gave a penny thinking 'Oh they're stupid and give it to me anyway for this penny.' Guess what, ah no, we're not stupid and don't give in to withes that the W should really be the letter B! Then after we were packing up to leave (there was still technically an hour before the thing ended but we weren't the only ones who her and just being their since 7am decided to just pack up and leave early), I came back from taking a load of the majority of what didn't sell to the truck and was told miss witch had returned and was bothering a lady next to us selling avon and was told this item was $30 and I don't know if her brain doesn't work beyond $3.00 or that's all the English she can say but she tried to convince HER to sell a $30 item to her for $3.00 I wasn't told the response but I have a feeling it was a NO WAY IN HELL! Type response.

All in all give or take a little here and there I'd say we sold maybe $15 if that much. I put out a few things myself and sold a total of $6! One was a magazine similar to shonen jump, had those too but none of those sold. Sorry their $5-6 in the store and they didn't appreciate my price of $2. So I only sold 1.

Bad Luck & Computers

Well my mom said that due to my often complaints on comp problems that maybe after the first of the year we could get a new comp after the first of the year. Well apparently my comp didn't feel like waiting till then. It demanded I restart for an automatic update and that was 4am by 10am it said windows is shutting down. So I tried pushing the off button, nothing. So I flick the power strip bar and it refuses to come on period! So it died and going comp shopping wasn't what we had planned to do that day. Last month we signed up to join a well it's like a giant garage sale at a local recreation center. And we're still not organized on everything we're going to do and it's this coming Saturday! We we're planning to do more of looking for things and going through things to see what goes and what doesn't.

Well first we go to the bank. Then the lights suddenly go off. Well we were in a small section waiting to talk to a representative to see about transferring money to get the new cop. We decided on a 1500 ceiling. We'll as we were waiting the lights go out. Well the section we were in had a light switch and I first assumed a man standing nearby had just flip the switch. But when I asked mom said the power went out! They told people they couldn't accept cash. Then a few minutes later mom realized that this power outage meant they couldn't help us! They said it was a block wide outage and ended up closing the bank. I had heard them mention where another bank was. But ended up asking again more specifically where it was. Well she said it's just in front of Target. We thought it was strange as we didn't remember ever seeing one. Then another one said Oh it's just in front of the mall. Which is across the street from Target.

When we left we told others coming in that the bank was closed due to no power and the people at the restaurant next door were standing around outside. But the one across the street must have had a generator or something as you could see lights on there. We got lucky to get out of there as the street lights were out an no cops no nothing directing traffic and we had to turn! We made it to the next stop light that also was out, but it wasn't a major intersection and yet they had 2 cops directing traffic! But a fire truck was pulling into a parking lot when we left maybe they plan to help who knows. We don't know what happened and neither the 6o'clock nor the 10 o'clock news said anything. The street lights were back on by the time we came back through at 5:30.

Well we end up with some foreign type guy no surprise as it's not unusual. The only thing I hate about them is it is usually SO hard to understand what their saying! I understand English is probably their second language. But it doesn't make it less annoying. Well I told him what I was looking for and he said it'd be better to go ahead and get this new printer/scanner that you got for this price for buying with a bundle. Well then told that most of my programs might not t work because I now have window 7 and it didn't work. So I had to drop my Microsoft word 2000 and get the new latest version. Which he sold us along with an antivirus system. Well my old comp had a DVD/CDwriter and another that had just a CD player. Well that guy was like but it comes with 1 dvd/cd writer. Like you don't need 2. I'm like I'm adjusted to Two I want 2! Then he's well this is good and cheap and this one's good. I'm like I don't know the difference whatever is best for the comp is what we want. So we got it and they installed it in under an hour.

Then we had to take the new one and the old one to a computer repair shop and get them to transfer all my data to this new comp. Well due to complications it was taking FOREVER to get it to just allow them to access the data. Then after Blondie (never got his name) got it to access he waited an extra half hour before taking off. It was a half hour past his quitting time. Then Mr. Black (again never caught his name, I think it was Bob but won't swear on it.) he was all that was left. He said it'd take a while to finish . It's like no biggie we'll wait. I don't think he really liked that, but didn't argue. Then a little later he came over and said it'd be about another 2 hours to come back tomorrow. I didn't want to, I didn't want to be without all night! But we got the impression when he said that as *hint hint get lost!* so we reluctantly left. It turned out to be 5:30.

Mr. Black was a black man that Blondie dubbed as an idiot. I don't disagree. He said that Mr. Black will go out and buy and a $600 cell phone bring it into the shop tear it apart for the fun of it and then put it back together and Mr. Black's well it still works after I put it back together!
Blondie, Mr. Black asked if I had ever been in the service and it's no and Blondie remarked he was, and Mr. Black's yeah, right I know you, you were in the USO! Well Blondie merely smirked so since he neither confirmed or denied that, I don't know if he really was or not. But either way Blondie was super cute! Plus he knew anime and never mentioned a girlfriend only male roommates and I really wish he had ask me out! But he said well I should teach you this. Well I said go for it. Well for some reason he said he got into trouble for doing that. But since he mentioned a few Japanese words it's like he's perfect! He's cute, knows anime and is a computer whiz! How much more perfect can you get!

But I didn't get the comp back till late yesterday and then got to thinking since everything else is changed I should get a new monitor. Which I'm impressed that guy didn't try to sell us one when we bought the comp. But when the new guy asked what we were looking for I wasn't sure. But when he gestured to all the flat screens and asked well what do you currently have. When I told him it was a big thing and no flat screen I think he nearly had a heart attack! So he was anxious to sell us a new one. Though when we went to the shop to get the data transferred they gave us an ati-virus system and he sold us a usb cord cause for some reason he didn't think the printer came with one. But we returned both the cord and the anti-virus system since the computer store gave us a free one.

Then today I found out that my picture editing software doesn't work with windows 7 and had to buy the new version. Then I had a secondary scanner besides the one built into the printer and it no longer worked and bought a new one! In the end we didn't miss the 1500 mark by far.

It took quite a while to get the new comp to set up for the internet and then getting all my stuff together and set up! But over all windows 7 isn't that bad.

It's really weird though going from a 1024x768 screen to a 1680x1050 size. The ones in the store looked so small and yet the others looked a good size but it's hard to tell by looking. Well it's nice just a lot bigger than what I'm used to.

Happy Halloween!

Well the day went GREAT! We went to Dollar Tree where EVERYthing they sell is $1! So we bought $20 dollars worth of candy and at the end we had less than handful left. There was one group the kids had to be 16-17 maybe younger but I'm about 5'2" give or take a little and thins boy was taller than I am! But then again so is my niece whose 15. But it seems their parents were with them and they were teasing that they still take even the big kids trick or treating!

Only saw 1 power ranger and one little boy was Thomas the train I belive. But it seems the theme of the knoght was the mask from scream! I think I saw 3-4. Then older kids most didn't even bother to dress up. I only missed 1 group all night. I had to go potty and they showed up. My sister was visiting and took care of them and said one was tinkerbell! I'd have loved to seen her costume.

Then I was dressed a a court jester and one boy kid said it meant something or other in Japanese and that that was good, so I assumed that meant he was Japanese. But he was moving away and there were 5-6 more kids so I didn't hear what it was he said and I was too busy to be able to ask. I'm not sure if it was him or another one again so many kids so much noise. I think he said he wanted to buy the house for a thousand yen which was a translated as a million dollars. I doubt he had $10 much less a thousand or a million either one.

Then another group of mostly black kids and one boy asked me if I knew Lewis. I'm like 'I don't know anyone.' He seemed to be shocked and continued with 'YOU DON'T KNOW LEWIS!' Then turns to his friends and said, 'She don't know Lewis.' Though since his friends didn't say anything it I'm guessing they didn't care one way or another. I'm wondering if that's a good thing or a bad thing to know or not know Lewis.

The weatherman we watched at 5:30 I'm guessing doesn't have kids as he was saying that most trick or treaters like to start after dark which he said would be about 6:30. And then was saying they should be in bed by 8. They started showing little by little about 7 and the last one showed up about 9:40. I figured that was it. I went out about 10 and didn't see or hear anything so I figured that was the end.

Everyone loves out house cause we have wood cut outs of pumkins ghost. We had two right next to the door in plants and I noticed one was pulled out. I figured that meant someone either tried to steal it or got caught on it. Either way we thought we should bring it in. Well I went to get one that was in the yard. I was surpised that the neighbors were moving. They were robbed just here a few weeks ago.

Well we had two plastic pumkins that were lit. I went and unplugged them then came back up on the deck, why and without the cutout I will never know, my brain wasn't working I guess. But I realzied I forgot them and ended up falling off the edge of the deck to try to get them. Oh I had to bit back a scream! My leg hurt SO BAD! It still does even my ankle. My leg got scrapped up good and just a small scrape on my knee.

This week

Well my birthday went okay. My sister couldn't think of anything so she gave me $20. I even got us both Birthday Balloons! I got new clothes and houseshoes from mom. That night I checked my spam folder and because I was signed up for a Wendy's newletter they sent me a $1.00 off any combo! It doesn't expire till the end of the year!

Yesterday we went to a one-day fair. It was interesting. Everything was WAY expensive! Then the one thing I wanted to do was look around the actual park area and look in the buildings. The webiste had said they do civil-war reenactors! I didn't know they did that anywhere but Gettyburg! But another thing was though the buildings were old I didn't think they dated back to the civil war. I mean I know Texas became a state in the 1800s but I didn't know we were a state at the time or part of the civil war!

Yesterday there was what used to be a small flat pillow. I guess maybe it still smelled like rat. But whatever it was while I was feeding Blacky this squirrel came down and really started tearing into it! It was almost like 'I'll teach you to mess with me!" He wasn't happy when I went to see what he was tearing up. When I first looked from that distance I feared somehow someway a rabbit had gotten in and they were fighting! All I could see at first was white. I thought it weird the way he tore into that poor defenceless pillow!

The week since then has been okay. First the dishwasher goes out! NOW today our Oven goes out! I mean I realize the oven is as old as I am if not older but it was still working and no money for a new one you don't argue about how old it is! It was working here I think a few days or so ago. So it's really weird that it's stopped working. We even put a candle where to try to relight the pilot light and nothing happened. Plus it had a bunch of white flour looking stuff in it. Mom swears it's not flour.

Then to add insult to injury Blacky took one look at what my sister did to the room today and then one look at me and the closed door it was like he was saying, "Let me the hell out of here! I hate this! I hate you!" Well an hour or so later I go and try to convince him again to come in and eat. He meows at me then suddenly I take one steo towards him and he turns and runs like I was going to beat the hell out of him! The thought crossed my mind but I never laid a hand on him! The most I did was when he first look at the room and complained about hating the room he ran from me and I grabbed his tail and tried to pull him out! When that didn't work I propped the door open and left so he could leave and meow and bitch outside!

Today

We went to have a one one one session with this lady from a diabities clinic. She was weird and a bit ditzy. I think in her mind if your not eating healthy ALL the time or even some times. Plus she was sitting there saying that she wanted mom to test her blood sugar. But the strange part was she was sitting there saying that just as you put that first bite in your mouth you have to time it 2 hours! Yeah right. She may be that much of a freakazoid but we're not! She does get to it every 2 hours but not to the minute! I'd lay odds that there aren't a lot of diabetics out there that time it down to the minute from that first bite like that. I'm sure there are some freakazoids like that but I'd bet not many.

Then we sit there and tell her yesterday for lunch she got grilled chicken from KFC and that dinner we had mashed potatoes, corn and blackeyed peas. We tell her this several times. But then she sits there after we tell her what we had she's And Fried chicken too right? We're uh no. We again repeat what we had for dinner. Again she's And Friend Chicken, Right? We're like for the LAST time NO! We didn't have fried Chicken for dinner!

Then she mentioned stir fry and looked at me and said there was enough for too and was appalled when she was told I wouldn't eat it. Then seemed even more so when I told her I didn't like salads. I think it was just a major shock to her system! I think she's a major snob to the extreme!

yesterday's cleaning & today

Well the cleaning yesterday went fairly well. We didn't get a whole lot done but we got one corner clean and can see the treadmill. I was upset that brand unwrapped new wrapping paper the bottom half was eaten by rats! My sister is a half-pack rat. She saves some things but for some reason here it's like NOTHING is sacred! She just wants to chuck it all! I agreed to put the wallpaper in recycle and rethought it today but someone else decided it could be salvaged as it's gone! Today mom decided she wanted to make sure the truck still worked which seems weird as it's only been a week of non running not a month or more. So she had it running and went digging through the trash to see what all my sister threw out. She collected a few things that I think were better left in the trash. Then I suggested we go for chicken at Church's. Sadly it and Subway, and Dino's (Similar to subway but I like it better) and a bar-b-que place are the only fast food places real close. Then with the food hot and waiting she insisted on digging through the trash more and then after I drag her in as the food was getting cold as she was playing. Of course all of this takes place in a drizzling rain. It's been raining since Friday! Then coming in she wanted brown-n-serve rolls! Finally they got done enough to satisy her and we could eat!

Cleaning

  • Sep. 12th, 2009 at 10:45 PM
catgirl
Well the main job was to simply clear off the treadmill. My mom used to clean houses and someone she worked for was buying a new treadmill and gave the old one to mom. Well it's never been used its been sitting out it this back room and piled high. We're major packrats! Well to find a spot for the stuff on the treadmill we had to clear out one corner. I swear if I had the energy and willpower my sister had that room would be spotless! I swear what was once a baby trail leading outside is now A WIDE opening! Of course by the time my sister got through her cleaning jag and making everything spotless there it was late and my mom made her go home and the treadmill isn't a lot different that it was before.

Though I did get yelled at later for it, my mom had said that there was the possibility of there being a dead rat out there. Well we never said anything as we didn't think she'd run across it. Well surprise surprise she DID! Though it was funny the way she freaked out! I didn't even freak out that baddly when I saw that dead opossum yesterday. Then when she handed me some paper towels I had offered her to get it, I told her that was why I gave them to her and she's like no you did it so I could clean up the mess where I wet myself. I think the only time I freaked out like that was the first time I ever saw a opossum. It's like it's a GIANT RAT!

It was SO clean that later when I called Blacky in to feed him his can food, it nearly scared him to death. He ran inside out of the rain and stopped and looked around like 'okay what the hell happened to this place!' But he recovered quickly enough that after eating he's like well now that you have all this empty space you can give me a belly rub and then some love and attention. I mean he was really into it. A lot more than normal I think he was trying to avoid going back outside in the rain. I finished one book I was reading and by the time I came back with another normally he'd be gone. This time he was still sitting there waiting for me to give him some more attention. Which was a little petting but mostly him ramming his head into my arm.

Well it was fairly normal. Then my mom needs to walk well it's suppose to be once an hour but it's more like a couple of times a day. Then since yesterday we kept smelling something dead! Then We have a big tall plastic box that we keep the Christmas lights in. Yeah its got a lid on it and it think and non see through so we just leave it out all year round. Well I noticed that there seemed to be a lot of flies in that area. So stupid me I go to check out why but I assumed if anything there'd be a rat. Instead it was a big opossum DEAD! How don't know. We do keep keep poison mixed with catfood out sometime outside but its underneath a mild crate to keep out cats and if a cat can't get to it the a opossum can't! We don't know if someone else poisoned it. I hope not as if you put poison out cats can get to it as well. But so far all the cats are fine. But mom bought some lyme a month or so ago for when we smelled something dead in the backyard. So she took it and put where we buried it. Then put some where we found it to try to get rid of the bugs and things and try to get rid of the smell. If it hadn't been for my noticing the increase of flies we probably wouldn't have found it till Christmas.

It was so hot! It said the temp was only 83 but since it had been raining and rain in the area ready to go again that the humidity made it worse!

The Blacky was whining about wanting his can food. So I finally got his food and took it out into this other room that leads outside and sat with him while he ate like normal when all of a sudden outside what sounded like maybe a blue jay squawked loudly! Then Blacky ran off as if the stupid bird had done something!

Day

Well mom came home today. Soon it was as if she didn't leave. Bitching and moaning and all. Though I think she was bitching and moaning a bit more than usual. But she was able to fix my DSL box that the only thing wrong with it was the power button didn't stay in the on position. She used a small hand held toothpick like dental floss and plunged it into it and managed to get it to stay and as long as I don't mess with the box it works great. Temorary fix. But considering the only way to get a new one is to buy it and online store it $50 with $10 S&H! I can only assume it'd be the same amount in store. So until it's a HAVE to case I'll stick with the fix. It makes me now wish I was with cable as my sister says it's free to change out your dsl box! But I went with yahoo cause at the time I had only known AOL and yahoo promised I could keep AOL. Now I don't even hardly use AOL.

Today

Well it started out crappy starting with last night! My internet converter box stopped working! Now it's just kinda rigged to keep the on button on! Saddly it'll stay like that as they make you PAY for an upgrade! Online it's 50 with 10 S&H! 60 bucks! My sister might have been right in switching to cable over AT&T! Last night I called but they said they were working on upgrades so if the internet's out don't worry till after 6am! So I assumed it was that. At 10:30 it was still out. I call and get some worman whose ability to speak English is not at all! I explained what was wrong and she would just ignore what I said and would ask questions. After about 3-4 times of trying to explain it's finally 'Well I think if nothing I've recommended to try is right then you have to have a new box! Go to blah blah and you can get one' Problem is blah blah is about all I heard. I finally got on line and talked with them through chat and they tell me I have to BUY a new one!

Well my sister said they took mom to do the procedure early then she waited around a couple of hours and finally someone said 'Oh right well we've been busy we'll do that procedure now.' Then another 2 hours she asked and they said 'Oh right they just finished!'

So I didn't go up there at the usual 11:30-12 and stay till 9. I didn't go till about 5 and stayed till just before 8. They didn't find anything so she might come home tomorrow.

The Day

Well my sister was suppose to call and when I did she said she forgot and that the procedure had been canceled! It was to put a tube down her throat to look at the back of her heart. Well the doctor canceled. He said 1 was broke the other was in the OR and after it was freed he was busy the rest of the day he didn't have time. He hopes it'll be out of the OR tomorrow to do it at 2:30. I'm still not holding my breath as to it actually happening. It still seems weird that a big hospital only has 2 of those things! Though Mom is threatening if it doesn't happen that she's going to tell them she's going home!

Another day

Well no change. Mom's as well as she was before and the doctors are all well we're not totally sure what really happened. My sister said one doctor said something about it was really a calcium thing broke free and that's what caused it others say it was a blood clot. They haven't a clue. They took a sonogram of her heart but have yet to tell the results now they want to look at the back. But we don't know if they will. One guy came in and said he was a heart doctor but when questioned about it he was almost like oh uh they said they'd do that? He was a waste of space. He was more like hi the real heart doctor couldn't (didn't want to) come so I'm here just to say hi how are you doing, good see ya. Though both my mom and sister are fed up and ready to pack it in, the useless guy said the other doctors had to sign off but didn't seem to know which end was up. My sister tried to ask this male nurse more about the thing they was to do with looking at the back of her heart and he's like 'Uh so that doctor hasn't talked to you yet?' It's like uh no haven't met him. 'Oh okay well I'll get him a message.' I'm not holding my breath on it being done! My sister's not holding out hope of her being released tomorrow either.

Just Great!

For the past month or so I've had my cage set up ready to catch a opossum. Every day the food disappears and the trap remained un touched! Then one day the cage looked like it had been shoved over to get to the food! Well with mom in the hospital I trip the trap as I didn't want to catch anything with no way of transporting it. Then NOW, NOW I go out to find my outside cat to feed him his can food I find a GIANT opossum eating his dry food! UH! That's miffs me off! Now I can't do anything about it! Till they release mom and give her the okay and she feels up to driving I can't even try to catch the little ****!!

Well Today our ghost, long story but we hear noises and things sometimes disappear and so we think its a ghost and he has a pet that walks on the bed. You feel something but no way it could be an animal.

Anyway his pet ran across the bed and woke me up. My sister whined about not getting up in time to go to lunch. She gave me a Subway that lacked a lot to be desired. Mom's feeling as good as she has been. She has short term memory problems my sister says and has trouble processing what's being said sometimes because I told her how our cat had demanded his kitty treats and she didn't understand me at first.

My sister told me that it was a confirmed stroke but that it broke into parts and that she's lucky as some people that have them are paralyzed on one side and looking at her you'd never know she had one.

She was back to complaining about wanting to go home. So that's good. But this one doctor didn't show up today so even though she was only admitted for 3 days my sister's not so sure she'll get to come home tomorrow.

I mean in one way I want her to come home and things get fairly back to normal and in another I'm scared. Scared it might happen again and I not notice.

Good Day I guess

Well it was a good day I guess. Mom's feeling a lot better and if we hadn't seen what happened we'd have never known. Well we also think something must have scared her or she realized how serious it could have been or something because yesterday we got there it was all "I want to go home! I wish they would just let me GO home already!" But today not one word. Not a peep about wanting to go home or wishing they would hurry up and let her go home. But I swear it's like everything you tell them goes in one ear and out the other if it goes in one ear! All day yesterday they kept asking well what kind of medicine does she take, what does she take. We gave everyone who asked the prescription bottles. Then today this woman comes in and says 'Well what's the dosage of prescription A.' We're like 'Uh we gave you guys the bottles yesterday.' "Oh yeah well its says 1 pill a day but not the dosage.' We're like you are kidding me! So went out for lunch and came and got the pill bottles AGAIN! This time leaving them up there since no ones capable of writing any useful information down! Then last night when they asked about other prescriptions we said well she had a prescription for , but she didn't fill it because it was too expensive and gave her a bad reaction the one time she took it. Today a lady ame in and was like 'Okay well we plan to give you the medicine X.' We're like 'No she had a bad reaction to that one.' She's all like 'What? Oh really?' Then when we try to explain that we told people last night she gave us a look that said 'Really? Seriously? You did? Well it's not noted down anywhere.' It's like shocker there! She didn't give her that medicine and made a notation on it. But my sister didn't trust that and left a note saying (DO NOT GIVE HER prescription X! She's had a bad reaction to it!)

The day started out strange. My mom was weird we only do this on job every other week and she did only half her job and kinda acted like she didn't know what I was talking about. Couldn't get the order right for our lunch. Then about 4:30 we went to my neices volleyball game and then two unrelated teams played and my mom really started to act funny. So we panicked when she didn't respond well, fearing she had a stroke. We rushed her to the hospital. The doctor told my sister while me and my other niece went to get her medicines and he said she had stroke like symptoms. By the time I saw her she looked and seemed to feel much better. They plan to keep her a day or two for observation. I'm hoping everything will be fine. It seems fine now, I hope it stays that way.

Cooking

Well I'm not much for cooking. I can cook a little but its mostly open the can/box/sack type cooking. Or in this case slice the potato and put it in the oil. Well normally I'd just grab a handful and put it in there. Well this time I saw no reason not to just up end the rest of the bowl of potatoes into the pan. Next thing I know the thing starts to bubble up and the whole thing is on fire! It turns out that there was water in the and water and oil don't go together!

Thieves

Gah! I am so sick and tired of the thieves around here! And it's the things they take are weird. One was a can of grease my mom had in a shelf for YEARS! It went missing. Then magically turned up the other day. Now we have a new stray cat staying and we call it midnight for obvious reasons it's total black. I found lying around the deck a very small flower bot base and put it down for him. It's been there for weeks. It was there this morning. Now My other two cats' food bowls were there but Midnight's was GONE! It was on the deck behind an umbrella beside the front door. Now why would anyone take such a small bowl! If I hadn't known my mom was inside all day I might have accused her of moving it. I put a bowl we were using to eat out of but had a crack in it outside for him. So we'll see if it will be taken too. Who knows what else has gone missing and we haven't noticed!

Today

Well it started out good. We were going to go to the movies. It was at the mall the only theater in town in operation. All others are in surrounding cities. Well since yes sadly neither of us have a cell phone so we had to guess the time. Well by the time we left Whataburger it was right at 1pm and that was the time the Inglorious Bastards started and Julie and Julia at 1:10. So we chose Julie and Julia. Despite it being 1:20 before we found a parking spot and got in, the movie was just starting, so we lucked out. Then After asking someone with their cellphones out the time it was 3:30 and Inglorious Bastards next show time was 3pm. We went ahead and went to go see it.

Though when I mentioned I wanted to see Inglorious Bastards apparently the girl at the ticket counter had seen it as she asked, "You did eat before you came didn't you?"

I'm like "Uh, yeah."

She's "Good."

I first wondered if she meant Julie/Julia but since there was only one scene that was stupid and I could only assume due to the stupidity it was Saturday night live. Otherwise I realized she had to be talking about Inglorious Bastards.

Both were good in their own ways. Disappointed with the ending of Julie and Julia. Inglorious Bastards had a good ending disappointed in one character but overall both were good movies.

Well the real drama happened after the movies.

I left mom to sit at the skating rink while I went to the book store. Didn't see a problem. Been there and done that many a time. Never a problem....till today!

I went to get Dippin Dots Ice Cream as a special treat. But when I returned to where she should be sitting waiting....she was no where to be found!

Now I'm a cry baby by nature and panic easily! But I managed to remain calm and didn't cry then. I searched that area over and over again and OVER AGAIN! All over the food court twice! Even went out to the car and back again. Mom was having a bad knee day so I never expected her to go anywhere but remain there. I come back and freaked when she wasn't there! I looked all over the food court and back. I should have looked towards the bookstore but thought nah, I'd have seen her on my way back with the ice cream.

After looking over and over again even waiting a moment or two trying to take a bite of ice cream while holding one. Bad idea. I spilled it! So I went down the rest of mine threw it away and went to the rest room and washed my hand taking mom's ice cream with me. Came back to ONCE AGAIN look for her. Still NO luck! So after searching to food court again I make he only decision I feel I can at that point. I mean I've looked the area she was last know to be again and again. So I called my sister. If not for searching the place over to the point of the ice cream melted beyond melted I'd never have done it. I was lucky there were pay phones next to the rest rooms. It was hard as hell to hear, I guess to discourage people to use them. Told her and she and her youngest daughter showed up, and of course after she showed up we went to where Mom should be and SURPRISE there she was!! My sister must have been more scared than I was as she hugged me majorly tight since by that time I did start crying! We went so I could get cleaned up and not show I was crying. Well my sister's daughter was going to call her husband and my sister mentioned calling him and it's like uh never mind he's right there! But I guess since he lost his mother died less than a year ago and less than a month ago lost his sister (I think she was older not sure) in a car accident. He too was so worried he showed up as well.

My sister wanted to know if we should tell her the truth or lie and say we happened to meet up. We opted to lie. Why? To save face really. My mom HATES to admit weakness and if she can avoid calling my sister and getting her involved even when she should she will. So that was a real reason I kinda didn't want her to know. She'd have killed me and probably been all well you should have just sat down and waited for me. Which maybe I should have, but in the what I'm no good at time but I'd say 10-15 minutes I was looking for her not once running across her I'd have never been able to sit still and just casually read and wait.

It turned out as my sister asked where she was and she said she went to the bookstore to look for me. I thought about going there but well the ice cream store is below the food court. Well I keep forgetting this and so to me my first thought was go back the way I came. Which was the path leading to the bookstore. I thought of going to the bookstore but for some reason I thought Naw she wouldn't be there. I'd have seen her coming back. I guess I should have taken the extra step and went to look there but for some reason I didn't think to go over there and look.

Well my sister had asked if I wanted them to just leave as if they were never there. But I didn't care. Her husband after finding out that mom had left where she was supposed to stay wanted to light into her. He said that we should have had an arranged meeting spot, which we did. But my sister wouldn't let him yell at her. Instead my sister hugged mom and lied saying they were looking for something for her daughter to wear for the first day of school. My sister's husband parked just within spitting distance of the front door and since we parked around the corner he gave us a ride to our car. Saved us a lot of walking! My sister kept telling me I did the right thing and to call her anytime I need her! So I think I did the right thing. Calling for backup was all I could think to do.

Then she had asked what happened to my shirt and I said I spilled something. In the car I lied again and said I bought 1 ice cream for us to share rather than 2 and said I accidentally spilled it. Then I had to think on my feet when she asked HOW! She asked if my arm got jostled and I lied and said yeah with so many people it spilled.

Coming home we again we again went to whataburger. We come home to find all 4 of our cats outside lying around. One our newest edition was the only 1 of at least 4 + mom to stay. All the others I guess wandered off and either couldn't find their way back or found a new home. Don't know.
